Playing a round

How do I start a round?

Open the Parbot tab, tap Tap to Speak and say where you're playing, for example “Pine Valley, white tees, eighteen holes” or “Front nine at Sentul”. When you pause, Parbot works it out and shows the course, tee, holes, starting hole and date. Change anything you need, then tap Start Round. You can also tap Type, or pick a recent course. Your round opens with every hole listed, and you fill them in as you play.

How do I log a hole?

Tap the wave button at the top right and say how it went, for example “Bogey, two putts, missed left”, or tap the keyboard button to type it. Check the card that appears and tap Confirm. You can also tap Birdie, Par, Bogey or Double, or tap the hole to set strokes, putts and more by hand. Parbot moves on to the next hole by itself. To fix a hole, tap it in the list.

Can I log several holes at once?

Yes. Say or type something like “Hole 1 par, hole 2 bogey, hole 3 seven”. Parbot shows each hole so you can check them before saving.

What if I pick up my ball?

Tap Pick Up or say “picked up”. Parbot records net double bogey for that hole (par + 5 until you have a handicap estimate) and marks it PU on your scorecard.

My course only has 9 holes.

Save it as a 9-hole course in Settings → Courses. You can then play 9 holes, or 18 holes by going round twice; Parbot repeats the par for the second nine.

Can I log without taking out my phone?

Yes. Say “Log a hole in Parbot” to Siri, then your score. Siri reads it back and saves it when you say “yes”. Your round also shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a Log Hole button.

I closed the app in the middle of a round.

Every hole is saved as soon as you confirm it. Open Parbot and your round is right where you left it.

How do I finish a round?

Tap Finish at the top left once every hole has a score, and Parbot saves the round and shows your summary. Your round stays active until you finish: swipe down to check something else, then tap Resume on the Parbot tab to carry on. If some holes are still empty, Parbot asks whether to finish without saving: you can leave, but that round isn't saved and doesn't use one of your free rounds.

Do I need Apple Intelligence?

Parbot works on any iPhone with iOS 26. With Apple Intelligence turned on, it understands longer sentences, writes Insights summaries and answers questions in Ask Parbot. Without it, Parbot still understands scores like “bogey, two putts” with its built-in parser, and the buttons always work.

Insights and handicap

How does Parbot tell if I'm improving?

It compares the average of your last 5 complete rounds with the 5 before, for 18-hole and 9-hole rounds separately. Insights also shows your scoring mix, average to par on par 3s, 4s and 5s, putting, fairways, greens and penalties.

Why don't I see a handicap estimate?

Parbot needs at least 3 complete 18-hole rounds played from a tee with a course rating and slope. Add them for each tee in Settings → Courses; you'll find them on the course scorecard. 9-hole rounds aren't used for the estimate.

Is it my official handicap?

No. It's an estimate based on the World Handicap System to help you track progress. It isn't submitted to any golf association.

Your data

How do I back up my rounds or move them to a new iPhone?

Turn on Settings → iCloud Backup while signed in to iCloud. Your rounds sync to your private iCloud and appear on your new iPhone when you sign in with the same Apple Account.

How do I share a scorecard?

Open a round and tap the Share button, or tap Share Scorecard after you finish. Choose whether to show putts, stats and your note, then pick where to send it.

How do I export or delete my data?

Settings → Export Rounds (CSV) saves a file with one row per hole that opens in Numbers, Excel and Google Sheets. Settings → Delete All Data removes everything from your iPhone and iCloud. It can't be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

Does Parbot collect my data?

No. Parbot has no account and no servers. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Parbot Pro

What does the free version include?

Every feature, for 4 rounds each month. A round counts when you finish it with every hole scored, whether it's 9 or 18 holes, including rounds you add for an earlier date. A round you finish without saving doesn't count. The count starts over on the 1st. You can always finish a round you've started, and your history, Insights, Ask Parbot and sharing stay free.

What does Parbot Pro include?

Unlimited rounds. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

I bought Pro but it isn't showing.

Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then open Settings → Restore Purchases.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In Parbot, go to Settings → Manage Subscription, or open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. If you bought Lifetime, cancel any subscription you still have.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
