Parbot
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
The short version
- We don't collect any personal data. Parbot has no account, no servers, no analytics and no ads.
- Your rounds, scores, courses and notes stay on your devices and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud.
- Speech recognition and Apple Intelligence run on your iPhone.
- Parbot doesn't use your location, camera or photos.
Who we are
Parbot is a golf scorecard and progress app for iPhone made by Yusa Febriyan (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Parbot app and this website.
Information we collect
None. Parbot does not collect, transmit or store your personal data on any server we control, and we have no way to see your scores, your courses, your voice or your questions. Parbot does not use third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
Data stored on your device
Everything you add to Parbot is saved on your iPhone, in storage that only Parbot, its widgets, its Live Activity and its Siri actions can read. This includes:
- Your rounds: course, tee, date, format, and for each hole the strokes, par and any stats you log (putts, fairway, penalties, bunker, picked up).
- Notes you write for a round or a hole.
- Courses you save: name, par, stroke index, and course rating and slope for each tee.
- Your score goal and preferences such as default holes, tracked stats, appearance, text size and Face ID lock.
- How many free rounds you've used this month.
Parbot calculates your averages, trends and handicap estimate on your iPhone from these rounds. It doesn't keep the audio or text you used to log a hole, only the score you confirm.
iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud and iCloud Backup is on in Parbot's settings, your rounds, courses and score goal sync through your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices and come back if you reinstall. This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is not accessible to us. You can turn iCloud Backup off at any time in Settings → iCloud Backup.
Parbot also keeps the number of free rounds used this month in iCloud key-value storage so it's the same on all your devices. It's private to your Apple Account. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple Intelligence and speech
- Apple Intelligence. Understanding what you said about a hole, Insights summaries and Ask Parbot use Apple's on-device language model. Your words and your rounds are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us or to any server.
- Speech. When you speak a hole or a question, the microphone is used only while Parbot is listening, and the audio is transcribed on your iPhone. Audio and transcripts aren't saved.
- Siri. When you log a hole with Siri, your request is handled by Apple under Apple's Siri privacy terms. Parbot receives only the text of the hole.
Permissions
| Permission | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Microphone & Speech Recognition | Saying your score for a hole, or asking Ask Parbot a question. Processed on device. |
| Siri & Shortcuts | Logging a hole or asking about your game by voice, or from a shortcut. Siri requests are handled by Apple. |
| Live Activities | Showing your current round on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Updated on your iPhone, with no push server. |
| Face ID | Optional lock for the app. Face ID data is handled by iOS and is never available to Parbot. |
Every permission is optional and can be changed in the iOS Settings app. You can always enter scores with the buttons instead of your voice.
Sharing your scorecard
When you share a scorecard, Parbot creates the image on your iPhone and hands it to the app you choose. The image contains no location data, and your round note is left out unless you turn it on. Parbot doesn't keep a copy.
Purchases
Parbot Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information. Parbot checks your purchase on your iPhone using Apple's StoreKit, and Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymous sales reports. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings.
Tracking and advertising
Parbot doesn't track you across apps or websites, doesn't show ads and doesn't share data with data brokers.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability for a short period.
Your choices and rights
- Export your rounds at any time with Settings → Export Rounds (CSV).
- Delete everything with Settings → Delete All Data, which removes your data from your iPhone and your iCloud.
- Stop syncing with Settings → iCloud Backup.
- Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone; data in your iCloud stays until you delete it.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia or another region with data protection laws such as the GDPR, you have rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. Since we don't collect or hold personal data about you, we have none to provide or delete, and you can exercise these rights directly in the app as described above. You can also contact us or your local data protection authority with any concern.
Children
Parbot is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Security
Your data is protected by iOS data protection on your device and by Apple's iCloud security in transit and at rest. You can add Face ID to the app for extra privacy.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Parbot handles information, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
